How It All Started

In 2020, right in the heart of Bass Hill, our founder Marwa started baking from home under the name Marwa’s Cupcakery. What started with cupcakes quickly turned into a love affair with doughnuts — big, bold, and bursting with flavour.

As the world slowed down during COVID-19, our kitchen came to life. What began as a way to spread happiness through baked goods soon turned into something much bigger: a local favorite known for our now-famous doughnut bombs.

By late 2022, we took a leap of faith and opened our very first doughnut shop inside a humble petrol station on Hume Highway, Bass Hill. It wasn’t fancy — but it was full of heart.

Then something amazing happened. The support from our community kept growing, and in November 2023, the Daily Telegraph visited and called us:

“Worth the 12 Hour Drive.”
That recognition meant the world to us — and showed us that we were onto something truly special.
